Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 8, 2026
We at Target Events International AB ("we", "us", "our") want to store as little personal data as possible, for as short period as possible. If the Services could work without storing any personal data, we would not store any. However, we do need to store some things, so here we are. This privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") describes how we collect, use, and share your personal data when you use our services, including the Target Events Android App, Target Events iOS App, and the targetevents.net website (collectively, the "Services"). By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Data Target Events collects from you, and how we use it
Data collection is limited to the following:
Visiting targetevents.net website: We do not use any cookies or other tracking technologies on our website. We do not collect any personal data from visitors who only browse the website. If you create an account or sign in on the website, we collect and use your data as described in this Privacy Policy.
Using Target Events App: When you use either our Target Events Android App or our Target Events iOS App (the "App"), we (or the mobile app platform providers) may collect certain information. Some platforms, such as Google's Play Store or Apple's App Store, may collect aggregate, anonymous statistics, which may be governed by their respective privacy policies and Terms of Service. Such statistics can include most commonly used devices and operating systems, total number of installs and uninstalls, and the total number of active users. Our App does not access or track any location-based information from your device.
Transactional email: When we send you account or event email — email address verification, password reset, club and event invitations, email change confirmations, account deletion confirmations, and occasional service announcements (which always include an unsubscribe link) — delivery is handled by Resend. To deliver such an email we share with Resend the message content, your email address and, where the message requires it, names appearing in the message (such as your name or the name of the club or person inviting you). Resend acts as our data processor, processes this data on servers within the European Union, and does not use this data for its own purposes.
Automatic error reporting: The App reports crashes and errors to Sentry so that we can find and fix bugs we would otherwise never hear about. This is switched on by default. You can turn it off at any time under Settings → Automatic error reporting, and turning it off stops all error reporting from your device immediately.
An error report contains technical metadata only: device model, operating system version, app version, the name of the screen or component that failed, and the stack trace. Before a report leaves your device it is passed through an automatic redaction step that removes email addresses, phone numbers, national identity numbers, authentication tokens, IP addresses, web address parameters and your device name. We do not attach your account identity to error reports, and we do not store the IP address the report was sent from. Error reports are processed in the European Union.
We rely on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in keeping the Services working correctly as the legal basis for this processing. You may object to it at any time by switching the setting off.
Please note that the App uses third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the App:
Data disclosure
We may disclose user provided and automatically collected information:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
- when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
Your privacy rights at Target Events
You can turn off automatic error reporting at any time under Settings → Automatic error reporting in the App. You can stop all collection of information by the App easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstallation processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.
If you are a citizen of a member country of the European Union, you may exercise your right to be forgotten under GDPR and can contact us at info@targetevents.net and request to have your account and all associated personal data erased from our servers. Upon doing so, we will fulfill your request with the following exceptions:
- Your name on any competition results, which will be kept in order to maintain their integrity as historical records under our legitimate interest.
- Any data which we are obliged to keep under Swedish law; for the legally required period of time.
We extend this same right to all our users, regardless of citizenship or residence.
If you want to correct any inaccuracies in your personal data, you can do so in the App under your profile settings.
If you want a copy of the personal information we have about you, you can request this by contacting us at info@targetevents.net. We will return this information to you in a commonly used electronic format within the time period required by GDPR. We again extend this right to all our users, regardless of citizenship or residence.
Data retention policy
We follow industry best practices with regard to data security and privacy. All data is stored on encrypted hard drives in European data centers. Database access is restricted to accounts protected by strong passwords and Multi-Factor Authentication. Data processing (server operations) is done in Europe, except for any calls made from the app on your device directly to any third party services, such as:
- Google Play Services
- Sentry
- Stadia Maps
To see the privacy policies of these services, please refer to the links provided above.
Our server logs may contain data that can be linked to you (such as your userId), but never any direct personal data such as your name, email address or similar. Server logs generated by user activity are kept for a maximum of 30 days for the purposes of debugging and abuse prevention, after which they are permanently and irrevocably deleted. Automated crash and error reports (via Sentry) are retained for a maximum of 90 days, are processed in the European Union, and are redacted on your device before they are sent, as described above. These logs and reports are subject to the same security measures as mentioned above. Transactional email is delivered server-side through Resend; the email address and message content are processed by Resend within the European Union for delivery and delivery-logging only, under their privacy policy linked above.
We do not use the Services to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
The Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case that we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian, and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@targetevents.net so that we will be able to take the necessary actions.
Modifications to Privacy Policy
Within the limits of applicable law, we reserve the right to review and change this Privacy Policy at any time. As long as you are using the Services, you are responsible for regularly reviewing this Privacy Policy. Continued use of the Services after such changes are performed shall constitute your consent to it.
